We will use Maschine mikro mk3 in MIDI mode and make it control Addictive Drums 2. – So that’s what we’re going to do in this guide. – However, I found that if you just want to play some drums, and especially if you want to play drums that don’t sound like samples, it’s by far the easiest to just turn the Maschine into MIDI mode and use it as a standalone midi controller without the Maschine software. – There’s a lot of ways you can load samples and setup routing inside Maschine software in order to get a drumkit going with the basic QFG pad layout. – Obviously, all Maschine products come with the Maschine Software, and used together with the software the Maschine controllers turn into serious beatmaking workstations. Some things you need to know about the Mikro Mk3 I also give some handy extra tips about optional MIDI CC modifiers and Cymbal chokes, so check it out! This will help you understand the reasoning behind the layout which I think is good to know for anyone studying with me.
